Beginner Longsword Series
Four times a year, IFG holds a longsword series specifically for beginners new to HEMA. The series details the basics of the use of the longsword as explained by the teachings of 15th and 16th century German fencing masters. Our next series will be held in January 2025. NOTE: Classes marked with a star(*) may require prior experience and appropriate fencing gear, please contact us for details.
All classes are held at the Multnomah Arts Center in Multnomah village, except for classes noted with two stars (**), which are held at Irving Park in northeast Portland.
