Please read the following important notes before purchasing a ticket:

The venue has a few rules:

• They are a Kosher establishment and as such we cannot bring anything that is not vegetarian onto the premises.
• NO SHARPS. this includes knives, we have special permission to bring the fencing equipment for the event.
• There is a “Security Check” at the entrance, they will need to see your ID and to check your bag.

Important differences from the Tournament of Roses: 

• Red cards will be considered a qualifier, meaning that recieving a red card will directly and significantly effect your standings going into elims.
• Yellow cards will be considered a tie breaker, meaning they will effect your ratings going into elim if you are otherwise on equal footing with someone.
• Seconds will be provided by the event volunteers, it will be required to use an event volunteer second. This is to ensure that all seconds are well versed and trained in watching for safety issues and can exhibit comfort in discussing unsafe behavior/injuries with the fight director. If you have a specific person you want to second for you please reach out and have them sign up as a volunteer.

A beginner is someone who meets all of the following:

• Someone who has under 3 years experience
• Someone who has competed in no more then 3 events
• Someone who has not placed in the top 4 of an event with 30 or less competitors
• Someone who has not placed in the top 8 of an event with over 30 competitors
• Someone whos current HEMA Weighte Rating is under 1100 (Not your “Rank”)

The actual rules and such for the event will be in line with the Tournament of Roses ruleset and gear requirements
